On June 24, 2014, ACI Worldwide, Inc. (ACI Worldwide) announced results from its Global Consumer Fraud Survey, which found that one in four consumers have been victimized by card fraud. The Company conducted the study of over 6,100 consumers across 20 countries to explore the impact of card fraud on consumers' confidence toward financial institutions. Key findings of the study include data indicating that 63% of global consumers who have fallen victim to card fraud are more likely to use their cards less, while 23% changed financial institutions due to dissatisfaction after experiencing fraud.
