ENR Editor-in-Chief Janice Tuchman Wins Construction Industry Institute's 2014 Carroll H. Dunn Award of Excellence

NEW YORK, July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill Construction's ENR (http://enr.construction.com), the primary trusted source of news, analysis, commentary, and data for the construction industry, today announced that the publication's editor-in-chief, Janice Tuchman, has received the 2014 Carroll H. Dunn Award from the Construction Industry Institute (CII).  The award recognizes her significant achievements in improving the engineering and construction industry.

The award, presented last night at the CII Annual Conference in Indianapolis, IN, is CII's highest honor and is one of the most prestigious awards of its kind in the construction industry.  Tuchman is the first female recipient in the award's 28-year history.

"McGraw Hill Construction could not be more proud that the industry is recognizing Janice for her expertise and thought leadership.  Her personal contributions have advanced the engineering and construction market and she serves as a role model for future leaders," said Kate Cassino-McHugh, president of McGraw Hill Construction.

"I am amazed and honored by this recognition," said Tuchman.  "I have always had a passion for the work that the Construction Industry Institute does to bring together owners, engineers and contractors, and the academic community to move our industry forward, and I am delighted to accept the award on behalf of the talented editorial and business team at ENR."

The Dunn Award is Tuchman's second major honor this year.  In January, she was recognized by industry association The Beavers as the recipient of its Golden Beaver 2014 Service & Supply Award for her achievements and contributions to the heavy construction industry.
