Bank says #TDThanksYou to customers over the phone, online and in-branch

Some very special experiences also delivered with the help of Automated Thanking MachineTM

TORONTO, July 25, 2014 /CNW/ - Thousands of unsuspecting customers were simultaneously greeted with a surprise while banking with TD today. At exactly 2 p.m. EST, over 20,000 TD employees across Canada distributed green envelopes containing a $20 bill to every customer in more than 1,100 TD branches and revealed to those using TD phone and online banking service that they would receive a deposit directly into their accounts.

"It was incredible to see the look of surprise on our customers' faces," said Ester Condello, a branch manager with TD Canada Trust. "We say thank you to our customers every day, and we'll say thank you tomorrow and the next day. Today's thank you is about all of us at TD working together to shout it from the rooftops."

Even ATMs are a part of the customer thanking experience at TD, with an Automated Thanking MachineTM delivering a few life changing moments for customers that were captured in a video released today, entitled #TDThanksYou (http://youtu.be/bUkN7g_bEAI). Local branch employees helped design these very meaningful and individualized thank-you experiences that were ultimately unveiled to their customers through the Automated Thanking MachineTM, an ATM that talks and delivers surprises. The #TDThanksYou video captures many unforgettable moments of surprise from unsuspecting customers.
