STW Resources Installs And Operates The Salttech Water Reclamation Technolgy

MIDLAND, Texas, Sept. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- STW Resources Holding Corp. (OTC QB: STWS) announced today the commencement of operations of a Salttech Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Technology water reclamation system demonstration in Ft. Stockton, Texas. The system arrived through U.S. Customs two weeks ago and last week STW and Salttech engineers installed the unit at Ft. Stockton's water reclamation facility. In the licensing agreement between the companies, Salttech has provided this Dynamic Vapor Recovery (DyVaR) unit for demonstrations throughout the United States.  Salttech engineers are on-site to train STW personnel to properly operate and maintain these systems.

Operations include a mobile demonstration capable of processing and reclaiming several variations of contaminated water chemistries ranging from 11,800 TDS effluent reject from Ft. Stockton's Reverse Osmosis plant and water from a local salt water disposal well site that has oil and gas produced and flowback water containing >134,000+ TDS.

The results from the Reverse Osmosis effluent is <20 TDS fresh water and 10# Brine. The results from the SWD water is <400 TDS fresh water and 10# Brine. This Salttech technology is agnostic to the levels of contamination of the intake water and is capable of processing highly contaminated waters with TDS of 300,000+ with the same energy required to process the low TDS water. If 10# Brine is needed, the fresh water stream will be approximately 75% and the 10# Brine stream will be approximately 25% of the total fluid processed. The 10# Brine can be used in drilling and fracking operations. If 10# Brine is not needed, the system can be adjusted to recover >95% fresh water and salt crystals.

This technology will have a major impact on desalination of seawater. Currently, the seawater reverse osmosis systems only recover approximately 45-50% of the fresh water and the other stream, which is highly concentrated saltwater, is discharged back into the ocean. With Salttech, we can recover 95+ percent of the fresh water and there will be no discharge of anything back into the ocean. This will prevent the possibility of increasing the salt concentrations disturbing the naturally balanced ecosystem of the ocean. This technology is economically sound and the water is processed with no chemical additives and no filtration, thus no consumables require disposal.

STW's business plan calls for the deployment and build-out of multiple sites for oil and gas customers and provide water reclamation services for a per barrel fee. STW has commitments for the installation of Salttech systems to provide water-processing services. Additionally, STW is working with industrial, state and municipal customers to apply this next generation technology.

Alan Murphy, the President of STW Water, stated, "I am extremely pleased with the ease of operation and ability to treat water of various sources with no preparation, other than to pre-heat the water, begin the cycles, and allow the DyVaR units to produce the water streams."  "Compared to other evaporative units or desalination systems, this will propel STW to become the leader in new technology water treatment," Murphy added.

About STW Resources Holding Corp.

STW Resources Holdings Corp. consults and provides customized water analysis, reclamation and remediation services to a variety of complex oil and gas produced and flowback water, brackish water, industrial, and municipal applications throughout several geographic locations. As an independent solutions provider, STW utilizes proven technologies, from various well-known manufacturers, including Salttech, a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology that is economically feasible to use. These technologies are available as fixed or mobile units with varying capabilities. STW's process ensures that the most effective and efficient technologies are implemented. Current potential project locations include the Eagle Ford Shale (TX), the west Texas Delaware and Permian Basins (TX), and eastern New Mexico.  STW is also involved in the oilfield dirt construction business providing roads, pits, locations, and water pond construction. It also offers evaporation covers for the elimination of evaporation on frack ponds used throughout the oilfield.  Evaporation causes the operators millions of dollars in losses annually. Covering the ponds is a conservational and economic method of preserving one of our natural resources and can be floated on to existing ponds or installed during construction.  It also eliminates algae growth, doubles as a bird net, and reduces erosion of pond infrastructure. High quality liners with fusion-welded seams, quality control testing including air tests of seams and destruction testing are also standard. STW Energy, a subsidiary of STW Holding Corp, offers a turnkey rig washing service. STW services include roustabout services for several major oil and gas producers too. STW's Pipeline Maintenance & Construction division aids oil & gas companies in connecting new wells so the oil & gas can be sold to market and helps maintain the integrity of their existing pipeline infrastructure.
