Training For Modern Manufacturing Careers Arrives at Lincoln Technical Institute in Mahwah!

WEST ORANGE, N.J., Oct. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lincoln Educational Services Corporation (NASDAQ: LINC), a national leader in specialized technical training and a driving force in helping students turn their passion into professional success, will launch a CNC Machining and Manufacturing Technology career training program at its Lincoln Technical Institute campus in Mahwah, NJ with a Grand Opening and ribbon-cutting celebration at the campus on Wednesday, October 22 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Lincoln Educational Services Corporation

In 2013, Lincoln became one of the nation's first proprietary schools to offer CNC career training when it introduced CNC programs at its campuses in Grand Prairie, TX and Indianapolis, IN.  The Mahwah program has been introduced to answer the growing demand in the Northeast for candidates with this unique skill set.

Opportunities for CNC Machining and Manufacturing specialists are growing in the New York/New Jersey area and around the country, and Lincoln Tech has partnered with leading CNC manufacturer Haas Automation, Inc. to tailor its curriculum to the specific skills needed by hiring managers in the field today.  Shaun McAlmont, Lincoln's CEO, says the school's proximity to a major Haas factory outlet, along with the anticipated need across the two states, made launching the program in Mahwah an easy choice.

"Manufacturing facilities are starting to return to the U.S.A. after being outsourced overseas for many years, and it is driving a need for CNC operators and set-up technicians," McAlmont explains.  "Lincoln's program prepares students to join an industry that's helping bring about a shift in our nation's economy."

As part of the Grand Opening celebration, representatives from HAAS Automation will present a $50,000 grant to create a scholarship fund for future Lincoln students training at the Mahwah campus for careers in CNC Machining and Manufacturing Technology.  These funds are being donated on behalf of the Gene Haas Foundation, and scholarship recipients will be determined by a committee which includes members of the New Jersey Technology and Manufacturing Association, Haas Factory Outlets, the Lincoln Group of Schools, and industry members.

Joining representatives from Lincoln will be Peter Zierhut, Senior Vice President of Haas Automation; Alan Haveson, President of the New Jersey Technology and Manufacturing Association; Neal Strohmeyer, President of Triangle Manufacturing in Upper Saddle River, NJ; as well as Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick, Mahwah Mayor William C. Laforet, Assemblyman Robert Auth, Assemblywoman BettyLou DeCroce , and Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi.  The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Haas Technology Center on the Lincoln campus, dynamic machining demonstrations on Haas equipment, campus tours, career planning sessions and much more.

Vinnie DiMartino of DiMartino Motor Sports, and formerly of the "American Chopper" TV series, will be at the campus to sign autographs and meet guests.  Also on campus will be the official NASCAR Kurt Busch #41 car, and the Lincoln 2014 Corvette Stingray.

Lincoln's first CNC Machining and Manufacturing Technology classes will start on November 13.  The diploma program will prepare graduates to sit for Level 1 Certifications, which demonstrate mastery of machining materials, job planning and safety, MasterCAM software, and manufacturing processes such as CNC milling and turning.

The Mahwah campus of Lincoln Tech is a 79,000-square foot facility that features 16 bays in a fully functioning auto shop.  The school offers programs in Automotive Technology, Automotive Mechanics, HVAC, and Electronic Systems Technology.  Students also receive coaching in time management, financial literacy and study skills, and are supported with career search and placement assistance upon graduation.
