Embassy of the Republic of the Sudan: Fabricated documents and lies will only curb peace efforts in S. Sudan

WASHINGTON, Oct. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Embassy of The Republic of the Sudan in Washington DC, noticed with great concern the circulated media reports that "Sudan could be arming S. Sudan rebels" and would like to state the following:

  1. The reports were based on a fabricated documents published by a well known activist who by doing  so give an unquestionable evidence that he can be an expert in anything but Sudan. The alleged document represents a minutes of what it called "The Security and Military Committee" - a NON EXISTING BODY- There is no such a committee in Sudan. This is pure lie fabricated and published by the so called expert and his crew.  Moreover the alleged document was addressed from The Management of Military Activities to Central Security Corporations, again there is no such entities in The Sudan we know, leave alone the participants in that meeting who will never be in the same – by profession –and in fact many of them were out of the country when the alleged meeting was taking place.
  2. One thing any honest objective observer cannot question about the leadership and people of the Sudan is their great sacrifices for peace and security including the conclusion of peace agreements, conduction of the referendum, acceptance the secession of the South Sudan and being the first to recognize the new nation.
  3. As of today Sudan hosting over 180000 southern Sudanese refugees according to UN high commissioner on refugees, sharing with them all its resources realizing that what is happening in South Sudan is a real tragedy. Sudan is not in a business of arming any of the warring factors instead it works as hard as it can to stop the madness and put an end to the tragedy.
  4. Sudan recently paid a heavy price when US acted upon fabricated stories and lies and went all the way to bomb a pharmaceutical factory in Sudan killing innocent people right away and thousands after as a result of losing the medicine produced by that factory. The liars claim Sudan is producing chemical weapons. When truth prevailed but the damage already done to both Sudan and US.
  5. We are confident that the business of fabrication and lying will hunts its own perpetrators and truth will prevail.
