Minister of Veterans Affairs honours Royal Canadian Air Force Association

The Honourable Julian Fantino reaffirms Government's commitment to Veterans and their families at annual meeting

OTTAWA, Oct. 25, 2014 /CNW/ - The Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs, today paid tribute to the Royal Canadian Air Force Association (RCAFA) at its annual meeting in Ottawa. The Minister thanked the Association for its outstanding contributions to Veterans, and reaffirmed the Government of Canada's commitment to strengthen support for Veterans and their families by cutting red tape and introducing new supports for those Veterans who are the most seriously injured, including support for their families.

The Minister also paid tribute to Canadian Armed Forces members, Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent and Corporal Nathan Cirillo, who were recently the targets of fatal terror attacks in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, and Ottawa, Ontario.
