Collaborne, digital business and enterprise collaboration solution, announces new US$1m funding, Deloitte Technology Fast50 nomination, 200000 subscribed enterprise seats, and brand name launch customers

AMSTERDAM, Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Amsterdam-based Collaborne (www.collaborne.com), a digital business and collaboration startup, announced today it has raised US$1 million from an international group of angels. The Deloitte Technology Fast50 Rising Star nominated startup is opening up its product publicly after spending the past 18 months in 'semi-stealth' working with a group of select customers. The company is also announcing that it has 200,000 enterprise-subscription "seats" and customers include global retail company Auchan Group, Port of Rotterdam Authority, City of Amsterdam, and Cyclopharma Laboratories.

The funding was led by Andy Phillips, Chairman of popular event-discovery app YPlan and former CEO of Priceline International, and Magnus Böcker, CEO of Singapore Stock Exchange and former CEO of NASDAQ Nordic. Advisors included Dominique Trempont, former COO for Steve Jobs at NeXT Computers, and currently on the board of ON24, Real Networks, DMTG, Trion Worlds.

"We have come a long way since our early days incubated with friends at Hasso Plattner Ventures," said Moodi Mahmoudi, Co-founder and CEO of Collaborne. "Our early traction is testament to the market's validation of our highly differentiated offering for digital business and collaboration inside enterprises. While the industry is focused on internal social networks that let people connect to each other by making status updates, we at Collaborne help clients create personalized work streams from their enterprise data, bringing together what matters for their people to get work done better and faster – individually and collectively."

Collaborne's cloud-delivered API-platform brings together business transactions, wherever they are happening. Whether its a new prospect in Salesforce, a new forecast request in SAP, a past due invoice alert in Oracle, a new open position in Workday, a new ticket in Zendesk, a newly uploaded document in SharePoint or Box, or an idea posted directly on the platform, Collaborne can capture, contextualize, and direct that information into the work stream of people in an entirely personalized way. The platform lets clients create contextual action types, replacing the standard 'like' and 'comment', that help accelerate their business execution. The entire platform is wrapped in an analytics layer called Collaborne Signals that provides insights and exploration into activities, profiles, groups, files, and more.

"It's ecommerce-grade targeting applied to information flows in the enterprise," adds Moodi. "After three decades of computerizing the enterprise to record every bit of data, now it's time to connect this information with the right people who can act on them in meaningful ways for the organization. We believe that unlocking people's ability to participate in this way will lead to performance improvements never seen before in the enterprise."
