Commonwealth Stadium is a multi-purpose venue that opened originally in 1978. The venue is the home of the Canadian Football League's Edmonton Eskimos and has also hosted numerous other sporting events including rugby and soccer, and has also hosted hundreds of concerts featuring Pink Floyd, The Police, AC/DC, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, and The Rolling Stones. One Direction's show here on July 21, 2015 will be one of the biggest in its history.
