Gannett Government Media and Maguire/Maguire team up to grow CFC donations

SPRINGFIELD, Va., Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Gannett Government Media (GGM), publisher of Military Times and Federal Times, today announced the re-launch of its 2014 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Digital Givers Guides, now powered by Maguire/Maguire, Inc., a pre-eminent nonprofit association management provider for CFC charities.

Through the new websites, military service men and women, DoD personnel and federal employees can learn more about hundreds of national, international, and local charities participating in this year's campaign and even make donations without leaving MilitaryTimes.com or FederalTimes.com.

The reinvigorated online givers guide aims to generate more contributions by giving CFC givers more information and more engaging content than is available to them on "official" CFC websites.  For example, GGM's CFC Givers Guides feature charity videos and public service announcements, expanded descriptions of the charities' programs, "real life" stories about their work, and digital display ads and other enhanced graphics.

"Gannett Goverment Media and Maguire/Maguire have worked together every year since 2001 in promoting workplace giving through the annual Combined Federal Campaign," said Mark Flinn, President of Gannett Goverment Media.  "Thanks to our friends at Maguire/Maguire, our CFC Givers Guide underwent a digital makeover this year to cater to an evolving, more digital and mobile military and federal community."

"Working with trusted news brands such as Military Times and Federal Times is a natural choice for us in promoting CFC giving," said Patrick Maguire, CEO of Maguire/Maguire. "These organizations are highly respected in the community and widely read by donors and supporters of this campaign."
