Aria offers downtown loft-style apartments in cultural district

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The newest loft apartments in the cultural district are now available for occupancy.

Located at 121 Seventh St., Aria Cultural District Lofts feature 40 one- and two-bedroom units with exposed brick, timber beams and granite countertops. Other amenities include in-unit washers and dryers, stainless steel appliances, storage units on every floor and a fitness center. Pets are permitted.

"Aria offers the best of both worlds," said Ethan Fellheimer, managing director of Red Rocks Group, which is developing the property. "We have combined the warmth and character of a building from the early 1900s with modern comforts and amenities. And our entrance is just steps away from the performing arts, professional sports, fine dining and riverfront trails."

Home to the Gerber Carriage Company factory, which opened its doors in 1900, the six-story structure features elements of the legendary École des Beaux Arts in Paris, an architectural style that flourished between 1880 and 1920. More recently, the building housed offices, including the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
