Analyst Update: Research Paper, Upcoming Earnings, Divestiture, New Collaboration,and Leadership Changes

The US stock market ended Friday's session on a mixed note, following disappointing US manufacturing and construction reports. The Institute for Supply Management manufacturing index declined to 55.5% in December 2014, from 58.7% in November 2014, partly due to labor problems at key West Coast ports. In addition, the US construction spending fell 0.3% in November 2014. The three main US indexes snapped their two-week winning streak. The Dow Jones Industrial Average moved up 0.06%, S&P 500 declined 0.03%, and Nasdaq Composite weakened 0.20% during the session. The European stock market closed mainly in red after eurozone manufacturing data for December 2014 fell short of expectations. The European stock market started the session on a positive note after European Central Bank President Mario Draghi hinted the bank is moving closer to launching a full-scale quantitative-easing program. The Asian markets ended their first trading session of 2015 on a positive note on low trading volume with the region's two largest markets shut for holidays.

Dana Holding Corporation (Dana Holding) released its new research paper on the commercial trucking industry. The research paper titled "The Right Solution for Downsped Engines" addresses the need for fleets and original-equipment manufacturers to properly manage the higher driveline torques that is resulting from the increasing use of more fuel-efficient downsped engines.

Danaher Corporation (Danaher) to release its fourth quarter 2014 earnings on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 6:00 a.m. ET. The Company will also hold a conference at 8:00 a.m. ET on the same day to discuss its results. On average, analysts at Bloomberg Businessweek expect the Company to report Q4 2014 EPS (pre-exceptional) of $1.06 on revenues of $5.5 billion.

Deere & Company's (Deere & Company) industrial diesel engines' division, John Deere Power Systems, introduced five new PowerTech™ 2.9L generator-drive engines with power ratings from 31 to 55 kWm (41 to 74 hp). The new engines are capable of delivering a range of reliable, compact, emissions-compliant choices for prime-power or standby applications.

Delphi Automotive PLC (Delphi) - the Company that first introduced automotive radar systems- joined hands with Ottomatika, Inc. to jointly develop technology that will help accelerate automated driving. Delphi will also invest in Ottomatika to support this collaboration.

A leading worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems - Donaldson Company, Inc.'s (Donaldson) Vice President, Disk Drive and Microelectronics, Peggy A. Herrmann, to retire on January 23, 2015. Earlier, the Company announced the appointment of Trudy Rautio to its Board of Directors, effective January 30, 2015.
