This next-generation connected mobile driver experience adds shared real-time road condition and traffic information to the already useful road condition data available.
The AMA Road Reporter app is now available to both Android and Apple device users. The app is free and can be used to receive and share immediate, real-time road condition and traffic information for Alberta's 31,000 km of major roadways, in addition to information – such as highway camera feeds and weather – that people are used to getting from AMA Road Reports.
Powered by social and mobile technologies, people can access real-time updates for road conditions, traffic, drive times, delays, and incidents along their routes. By driving while the app is on, drivers contribute valuable information about traffic conditions, which helps other drivers make better decisions about the route they choose.
