FORT WORTH, TX, Dec. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - Ritchie Bros. (NYSE and TSX: RBA), the world's largest industrial auctioneer, sold 3,650+ equipment items and trucks for US$43+ million at this week's unreserved public auction in Fort Worth, TX (December 2 – 3, 2015). Ritchie Bros. conducted five auctions in Fort Worth in 2015, selling a combined 18,800+ lots for US$264+ million with more than 21,200+ total bidder registrations, making it the site's largest year ever. Approximately 51 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers from as far away as Australia, Egypt, and the Philippines. Bids were placed in person, online at rbauction.com and by proxy.

"This auction was a fitting end to a really rewarding year," said Dolan Aucoin, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. "We had sector strength across the board for this December auction in Fort Worth, with a huge selection of quality construction, transportation, and agricultural gear. You could look out at the yard and see late-model John Deere tractors, late-model Komatsu excavators, late-model Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks, and more—there was truly something for everyone. Everybody's worked hard, and it's been a great year, with customers giving support every step of the way."

More than 490 owners sold equipment at the December auction, including Enviro Services LLC., which specializes in environmental restoration for pipeline oilfield projects.

"I've bought before with Ritchie Bros., but this is the first time we've sold with them," said Chris Holomon, Equipment Supervisor, Enviro Services LLC. "I like the way they spent time detailing our tractors and cleaning them up for the auction. They are very professional—we trusted them, and you can depend on them to back up what they say. Ritchie Bros. is a very good auction company."
