Pacific Continental Bank Opens New Downtown Vancouver Office

VANCOUVER, Wash., March 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Continental Bank, the bank subsidiary of Pacific Continental Corporation (Nasdaq: PCBK), today announced the opening of its newest office, located in The Hudson, a new building at 101 East 6th Street, Vancouver. The new facility, managed by locally-based firm, Killian Pacific, provides a much larger and technologically rich banking office than ever before and also affords Vancouver a 48-seat community room for use by nonprofits, businesses and organizations throughout southwest Washington.

"Our investment in the development of this new and modern office shows the tremendous commitment of Pacific Continental Bank toward the southwest Washington community," said Kristy Weaver, senior vice president and team leader in Vancouver. "The new office is unlike any banking space in our city and provides an entirely new community business banking experience."

The following is a partial list of the new amenities and services available at the new bank office:

  • Interactive Park and Transact Video Teller – This technology will allow clients to access a bank employee via video screen to perform the majority of transactions a typical teller would handle, including cashing checks down to the penny. Pacific Continental Bank will test video teller technology in a controlled environment at the new Vancouver office to learn whether they can place a video teller kiosk in new areas/markets.
  • Community Room – The bank will welcome local nonprofits and businesses to use this full-service community room for purposes such as board and committee meetings, trainings, seminars and networking events. This space includes room for up to 48 individuals and will have a reconfigurable table system. It is fully wired for video and audio. There will be an after-hours access system which will allow access the space 24/7.
  • Experience Wall and Digital Community Calendar – This system is dynamic with nine connected flat screen monitors that present a variety of media opportunities, including playing Ted Talks and client presentations. The digital community calendar will scroll upcoming SW Washington events among other announcements.
  • Cash Recyclers – This machine allows traditional teller staff to become "unchained" from their teller station. It also allows for non-operations staff to conduct transactions for clients.

"The ways in which clients interact with their bank are changing, and we believe this new office will be at the cutting edge of how that evolution takes place," said Roger Busse, Pacific Continental Bank's chief executive officer. "Pacific Continental's new Vancouver office is a place where a true partnership between banker and client will take place, and a true synergy between business and community is further strengthened."
