NEW YORK, April 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- OTC Markets Group Inc. (OTCQX: OTCM), operator of financial markets for 10,000 U.S. and global securities, today announced the first quarter 2016 performance and quarterly rebalancing of the OTCQX® indexes, the OTCQB® Venture Index, the OTCM QX ADR Index ("OTCQX30") and the OTCM ADR Index.
The OTCQX Composite Index (.OTCQX), which tracks the overall performance of the OTCQX Best Market, declined 0.7% in the first quarter, compared to a 4.5% gain in the fourth quarter 2015. Forty-two companies were added to the Index in the quarter and 62 companies were removed, including Nano Dimension Ltd., which graduated from OTCQX to the NASDAQ Capital Market on March 7.
The OTCQX Billion+ Index (.OTCQXBIL), which tracks the performance of OTCQX companies with a market capitalization of $1 billion or greater, was down 0.8% in the first quarter, compared to a 4.6% gain in the fourth quarter 2015. Five companies were added to the Index in the quarter and five companies were removed.
The OTCQX Banks Index (.OTCQXBK), comprised of investor-focused community and regional banks traded on OTCQX, declined 0.3% in the first quarter, compared to a 6.4% gain in the fourth quarter 2015. Ten companies were added to the Index during the quarter: Citba Financial Corp. (OTCQX: CBAF), First Federal of Northern Michigan Bancorp, Inc. (OTCQX: FFNM), Farmers & Merchants Bancorp (OTCQX: FMCB), The Little Bank, Inc. (Kinston, NC) (OTCQX: LTLB), Mission Valley Bancorp (OTCQX: MVLY), PBB Bancorp (OTCQX: PBCA), Prime Meridian Holding Co. (OTCQX: PMHG), Quaint Oak Bancorp, Inc. (OTCQX: QNTO), Suncrest Bank (Visalia, CA) (OTCQX: SBKK) and VSB Bancorp, Inc. (OTCQX: VSBN). Eight companies were removed from the Index in the quarter.
The OTCQX International Index (.OTCQXINT), a benchmark for OTCQX international companies, was down 0.7% in the quarter, compared to a 4.5% rise in the fourth quarter.
Nineteen companies were added to the Index in the quarter and 45 were removed, including Nano Dimension Ltd.
The OTCQX U.S. Index (.OTCQXUS), comprised of established, investor-driven U.S.-based OTCQX companies, declined 0.8% in the first quarter, compared to a 9.8% gain in the fourth quarter 2015. Twenty-three companies were added to the Index in the quarter and 18 were removed.
The OTCQB Venture Index (.OTCQB), which tracks the overall performance of the OTCQB Venture Market, rose 14.3% in the first quarter 2016, compared to a 7.0% decline in the fourth quarter 2015. One hundred five companies were added to the Index in the quarter and 116 companies were removed, including IZEA Inc., which moved to NASDAQ on February 26; SPI Energy Co. Ltd., which graduated to NASDAQ on January 19; LabStyle Innovations Corp., which graduated to NASDAQ on March 4; ViewRay, Inc., which moved to NASDAQ on March 31; and Workhorse Group Inc., which graduated to NASDAQ on January 7.
The OTCM QX ADR 30 Index (.OTCQX30), powered by BNY Mellon DR IndicesSM and comprised of the 30 largest, most actively-traded American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) on OTCQX, was flat in the first quarter, compared to a 4.89% gain in the fourth quarter. Three companies were added to the Index in the quarter and three companies were removed.
The OTCM ADR Index (.OTCDR) powered by BNY Mellon DR Indices and comprised of ADRs traded on the OTCQX, OTCQB and Pink Markets, declined 0.9% in the first quarter, compared to 4.72% gain in the fourth quarter 2015. Fourteen companies were added to the Index in the quarter and 29 companies were removed.

All indexes are market capitalization-weighted and adjusted on a quarterly basis for additions and share changes over 5% during the months of March, June, September and December. In the case of ADRs, the DR ratio is considered. Dividends are re-invested as of the close of business the day before the ex-dividend date.
