AirTran Airways Customers Affected by Winter Storms Moving Through Northeast May Change Travel Plans Without Penalty

ORLANDO, Fla., March 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., (NYSE: AAI), advises passengers that due to severe winter weather forecasted for the northeast part of the country, some flight operations may be affected through Monday, March 2, 2009.

Passengers holding reservations for travel scheduled March 1 through 12:00 pm EST March 2, 2009, on AirTran Airways to, from or through Boston, Mass., White Plains (Westchester) and New York (LaGuardia), N.Y., Newark, N.J., Portland, Maine, Washington, DC (Reagan National, Dulles and Baltimore-Washington Airports), Newport News/Williamsburg and Richmond, Va., and Philadelphia, Pa., may make a change without penalty as long as changes are made up to five days following the date of the original scheduled departure date, based on space availability without change fees or fare adjustments.
