FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

North Miami, FL, October 7, 2020- Sophomore film student, Steven Bartholomew, approached BloqUV about an idea he had to create an ad for the brand. This was for a part of his Media Arts Program class. He directed fellow BYU students as his cast and crew for the ad. Steven had gained camera experience by working on BYUtv, the university’s television program.

“Brigham Young has one of the best film programs in the state, known for its theory, and it’s innovative student short films,” states Steven Bartholomew. “The film program stresses very heavily on learning how to tell a story, and it has inspired me to try and tell the stories of businesses as well as create independent short films and documentaries.”

“This is a win, win for both Steven and BloqUV,” says Corina Biton, founder and president of BloqUV. “Steven has been able to add this great experience to his resume and BloqUV has a new creative advertisement.” You can view that advertisement here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqVnILbXAjY.

BloqUV has one thing in mind when creating these products: sun protection. Every piece of clothing from this brand has a ton of technical features and benefits. The brand’s sun shirts and long sleeve shirts are proven to block up to 98% of UVA and UVB rays. The UV protection does not wear down after laundering. The UV protection is chemical-free.

The quick-drying fabric is lightweight and it has moisture-wicking and anti-microbial properties. The soft material travels well and has 4-way stretch capabilities.

About Corina Biton: Living in Miami, Florida means enjoying the great outdoors. I love to run, walk, paddleboard, and play tennis. After noticing white spots on my arms, I made an appointment to see my dermatologist. She immediately recognized them as a result of sun exposure, which confused me as I always wore long-sleeve T-shirts. This was when I learned plain T-shirts only block 5% of the sun’s rays.  Not willing to sacrifice my active lifestyle, I began the hunt for fashionable sun protective clothing that was lightweight, comfortable, and breathable.

About BloqUV: After 10 years, BloqUV has emerged as a market leader in sun protection.  Our products are unique in design, fit, and sun protection technology. They are moisture-wicking and quick-dry, allowing for a wide range of uses on land and water. Since the beginning, we have been on a mission to educate customers on the damaging effects of the sun. Each year in May, we are joined by our retailers for the “Bloqit with BloqUV” melanoma awareness campaign. Creating this line has been a labor of love. Whether this is your first BloqUV purchase or an addition to your collection, trust you’re wearing the very best in sun protection apparel. Enjoy the outdoors with peace of mind you are protected from the sun.
