Drug stocks climb; Athersys soars on Pfizer deal

BOSTON (MarketWatch) -- Drug stocks climbed in early action, following the broader market north, as shares of Athersys Inc. soared on news it has signed a deal with Pfizer Inc. for its stem-cell therapy product MultiStem.
