Netflix has been experimenting with ads for its original content, and that could risk subscriber losses. Almost one-quarter of consumers said they would drop their Netflix subscription if the streaming service included ads, according to a new study. The debate over ads comes at a tricky time for Netflix, as subscriber growth has stalled but it is spending much more on original content.
