State Street Global Advisors Lowers Fees on 41 SPDR® ETFs

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), the asset management business of State Street Corporation (NYSE:STT), today announced that it has lowered the management fees on 41 SPDR exchange-traded funds (ETFs), including those investing in a wide range of international and domestic asset classes, effective immediately.

“Competitive pricing is a core benefit to the SPDR ETF value proposition that dates back to the launch of the SPDR S&P 500 ETF in 1993,” said James Ross, executive vice president and global head of SPDR Exchange Traded Funds at State Street Global Advisors. “Affordable ratios are key components of our commitment to providing cost-effective investment solutions that are backed by SSGA’s expertise, services and support.”

The changes are part of a continuous review process to identify improvements that are beneficial to investors.

“Our primary focus is on helping investors build stronger portfolios while positioning SPDR ETFs for long-term growth,” continued Ross. “Investors should look beyond a fund’s expense ratio to fully understand its total cost of ownership.”
