Attorney Matthew Karr Celebrates 15th Year of Legal Practice

Woburn, MA—Attorney Matthew Karr of The Heritage Law Center is celebrating a milestone in his legal practice this year. He has practiced estate planning, elder law, and probate for fifteen years, honing his skills to aid people and their families, and he plans to continue putting his experience, knowledge, and compassion to work for the people of Woburn, Massachusetts, and beyond.

Karr received his license in 2008 after completing his studies at Boston College Law School. That education coupled with the experience he gained at a Boston law firm, gave him the know-how he needed to open The Heritage Law Center in 2011. Since then, he’s served his community by creating comprehensive estate plans that include trusts and wills, guiding people through MassHealth/Medicaid planning and elder law, and navigating individuals through probate.

Matthew Karr opened his own law firm so he could provide a more personalized approach to estate planning and elder law. He gets to know each client and their needs, so he can help them develop estate plans tailored to protect themselves, their assets, and their families and position older adults to get the health care they need. Matthew Karr puts a special emphasis on communicating using easy-to-understand language and explanations for the complex concepts that are part of estate planning and elder law. When it comes to estate planning, he believes every client should understand the estate plan they get and how it will work for them.

Attorney Matthew Karr’s efforts to help his community navigate elder law and estate planning go above and beyond his duties at The Heritage Law Center, too. Matthew also works as a pro bono adviser to community senior centers, providing information for those who may not understand how an estate plan can impact them and their families. He also writes and speaks on estate planning issues, educating and informing readers who may not otherwise know where to begin.

Matthew Karr is also involved in the community as a faculty member for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. He’s a member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, and the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association.

Matthew Karr has been recognized for his efforts and achievements throughout his fifteen-year career as an estate planning and elder law attorney. He has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers® Magazine five years in a row and a Five Star Financial Services Professional in Boston Magazine, a great honor for attorneys who have worked hard to represent their clients to ensure their needs are met.

For those seeking out legal services for elder law, estate planning, or probate, he’s ready to help families as he puts his years of experience to work and continues his practice beyond these first fifteen years.
