AleraCare Appoints Joseph Cosgrove as Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors

Company Advances Toward Planned Merger with PURE Healthcare

AleraCare, a leading provider of infusion and specialty pharmacy services across the U.S., today announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Joseph Cosgrove as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board. Russ Corvese will retire as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 13, 2025, and will serve as an advisor to the business during the transition.

This leadership transition comes at a pivotal time for the company, as AleraCare and PURE Healthcare have entered into a definitive agreement to merge, which will create a premier national platform that delivers integrated, patient-centered infusion and specialty care services. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025 and remains subject to customary closing conditions.

Mr. Corvese, who co-founded AleraCare and has served as CEO since inception, has played an instrumental role in building the company into one of the nation’s most trusted partners in delivering patient-centered outpatient and home-based care solutions. Under his leadership, AleraCare expanded its national footprint, strengthened its clinical programs, and advanced its mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care.

Before joining AleraCare, Mr. Cosgrove served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of two private equity–backed healthcare services companies, Pentec Health and Leiters Health, where he successfully led both organizations through significant growth phases, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships with leading health systems and payers. Throughout his career, Mr. Cosgrove advanced care models that combine clinical quality with patient convenience, positioning companies at the forefront of healthcare transformation.

Mr. Cosgrove has also served on multiple boards and industry advisory groups, providing strategic guidance on value-based care, home and community-based services, and the integration of technology into patient care delivery.
