Editorial Freelancers Association at San Francisco Writers Conference

SAN FRANCISCO - July 6, 2022 - PRLog -- The Editorial Freelancers Association will be at the San Francisco Writers Conference July 21 – 24. Stop by our booth to introduce yourself and learn more about the benefits of EFA membership or about hiring the right freelancer for your project through our Member Directory and Job List! Originally scheduled for February, the conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, across from the Ferry Building and next to the Embarcadero BART station.

"We are so happy that SFWC is finally happening," says Amy Spungen, EFA Events chairperson. "This is a wonderful opportunity for writers at all stages of their careers to meet editors, agents, and other writers. We look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends!"

The San Francisco Writers Conference is being presented with the theme "Craft, Commerce and Community" this year, and features more than one hundred presenters. Attendees can choose from more than 80 sessions featuring lectures, classes, and opportunities to connect with writers and professionals in the publishing field. The conference will also highlight the SFWC Poetry Summit for poets and the Writing for Hollywood Summit for screenwriters.

Founded in 1970, the Editorial Freelancers Association is a national nonprofit professional organization with approximately 3,000 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators and others who work in publishing, communications and related fields.

The EFA has garnered praise from publishing pros like Jane Friedman and Louise Harnby and is frequently listed as a valuable resource for authors on sites including Poets & Writers, BookBub, Publishers Weekly, Poynter, and the Chicago Manual of Style blog.
