Support Grows for Career Guidance Campaign in Palestine

The "Palestine's Future" campaign, led by Talent Acceleration Platform (TAP), successfully connected 1,000 mentors from top companies like Cisco, Meta, and Microsoft with Palestinian tech talent.

The "Palestine's Future" campaign, aimed to connect 1,000 mentors from the business sectors in Europe and the GCC area with tech talent from Palestine, has reached its target. Employees from leading firms such as Cisco, Meta, Google, Deloitte, McKinsey, and Microsoft have pledged their support.

The initiative, led by Talent Acceleration Platform (TAP), works with various community partners to connect Palestinian talent with international career opportunities. This effort responds to the challenges faced in the Palestinian job market, particularly in the West Bank and Gaza, where career opportunities are limited despite a strong pool of eager young professionals.

Christian Vezjak, founder of TAP, notes, "Globally, companies experience labor shortages, yet Middle Eastern and Palestinian talent remains underutilized. This campaign seeks to highlight the skills of young Palestinians and improve their visibility to potential employers abroad."

The mentorship program facilitates online advice and professional guidance, where talent from Palestine can connect with international professionals. The platform enables direct mentor-talent contact and offers workshops and talks to better prepare Palestinian youth for the workforce.

Umar Salah, a software engineer from Palestine, values the cross-cultural insights gained from his mentors. "Engaging with a mentor who offers a global perspective enhances my understanding of international industry trends and professional norms, which is crucial for remaining competitive," he explains.

Kristina Moore, head of strategy at Xpence, emphasizes the program's broader impact: "The TAP mentorship initiative equips Palestinian youth with the necessary tools and support to forge their career paths and contribute to a prosperous future."

Despite achieving its initial goal of 1,000 committed supporters, the "Palestine's Future" campaign continues to welcome new participants to expand its network of professionals and mentees.
