MyQbit LLC announced the rollout of persistent memory functionality for Qbit, its AI assistant, making the feature available to all Qbit accounts at no additional cost. The technology enables Qbit to retain relevant information across conversations and devices, allowing users to revisit previous interactions and receive responses informed by their conversation history, preferences, and previously shared details.
The announcement addresses a common limitation in everyday interactions with artificial intelligence: the need to repeatedly provide background information when beginning new conversations. Although AI assistants can respond to complex questions and perform a wide range of tasks, maintaining continuity between separate interactions remains an important consideration for users who rely on these tools regularly.
Qbit's persistent memory functionality is designed to reduce that repetition by maintaining information from previous exchanges and making it available when relevant to future requests. The feature supports both personal and professional use cases, including daily planning, research, writing, project management, and recommendations based on individual preferences.
For example, users who have previously mentioned dietary restrictions or food preferences can receive restaurant recommendations and meal suggestions that account for those details. Information about important dates, ongoing projects, family circumstances, or personal interests can also be referenced during subsequent conversations without requiring users to provide the same background repeatedly.
The functionality is intended to make interactions more continuous over time. A user working on a project over several weeks can return to related discussions and continue developing ideas with access to previously shared context. Similarly, someone using Qbit for personal organization can revisit earlier conversations and build upon information already provided.
"Nobody should have to re-introduce themselves to their own assistant.” said Scott Purcell, Founder and CEO of MyQbit LLC, “Tell Qbit once that you don’t like spinach, that your mom's birthday is in May or that you're heads-down on a hard project at work and Qbit carries it with you, on your phone and your laptop, next week and next year. Your assistant remembers and is ready to help, always,".
In addition to persistent memory, Qbit maintains conversation threads that allow users to ask follow-up questions, request clarification, or modify previous responses within an ongoing discussion. Requests such as shortening a response, expanding an explanation, or providing additional references can be interpreted using the context of the existing conversation.
The platform also supports continuity across devices. Users can begin a conversation on a smartphone and return to the same discussion later through a laptop or tablet. This accommodates different working environments and usage patterns, particularly for individuals who alternate between their phone and laptop throughout the day.
MyQbit LLC has also incorporated privacy considerations into the platform's memory architecture. According to the company, retained information is stored in encrypted form within Qbit's own infrastructure. Its Cobalt Brainstem technology selects specialist AI models according to the requirements of individual requests while managing the context supplied for generating responses without ever disclosing any personally identifiable information of Qbit’s users.
The company states that this architecture is designed to keep personal account information separate from the external language models used to process requests. These measures form part of Qbit's approach to combining persistent memory with protecting users.
Persistent memory also supports Qbit's broader range of productivity and collaboration features. The assistant can help users prepare written materials, conduct research, reference documents and photographs, organize information, and manage everyday questions. Users can invite family members or coworkers to collaborate within shared folders and AI conversations, supporting activities related to work, travel, education, and household planning.

Qbit is currently available through www.qbit.app and can be installed as a progressive web app on compatible smartphones, tablets, and computers. This installation method allows users to access the platform without having to download an application from a traditional app store.
The platform interface automatically translates into 18 languages and supports conversations in 97 languages, according to MyQbit LLC. Language selection can be further managed by device settings or the language used during an interaction, allowing users to communicate with the assistant in their preferred language.
MyQbit LLC provides Qbit as an AI assistant for personal, educational and professional activities, combining conversational assistance, document-related capabilities, collaboration tools, and persistent memory within a single platform. The company continues to develop features, functionality and technology to improve continuity, collaboration, accessibility, safety and security in everyday AI interactions.
