Fiserv Earns Top Score as a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion

Score of 100 on Disability Equality Index reflects company’s commitment to provide access, tools, and benefits to enable full, meaningful engagement for all associates

Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), a leading global provider of payments and financial services technology solutions, was today named one of the Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion for the fourth consecutive year. Fiserv scored the highest possible score of 100 on the 2022 Disability Equality Index (DEI), the world’s most comprehensive benchmarking tool to measure disability workplace inclusion.

The DEI, now in its eighth year, was launched by Disability:IN and The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) to help businesses make a positive impact on the unemployment and underemployment of people with disabilities.

Fiserv partners with Disability:IN to recruit and develop associates with disabilities, and is focused on creating an environment where everyone can thrive because they have the right access, tools, and benefits to be successful.

“Disability inclusion is a rapidly expanding aspect of corporate culture,” said Jill Houghton, President and CEO of Disability:IN. “Top-scoring companies like Fiserv not only excel in disability inclusion, many are also adopting emerging trends and pioneering measures that can move the disability agenda from accommodation to inclusion and ultimately, genuine belonging.”

A critical component of the Fiserv commitment to disability inclusion is its Thrive employee resource group (ERG). Thrive serves as a resource and advocate for people with disabilities, caregivers, and allies. Fiserv supports Special Olympics, Fisher House Foundation, National Spinal Cord Injury Association, Adaptive Sports Foundation, Autism Communities, and numerous other local and national organizations committed to disability inclusion through funding and volunteerism.

“At Fiserv we strive to foster an environment where associates with disabilities feel a sense of belonging, empowered by their unique talents and supported in reaching their highest potential,” said Neil Wilcox, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Fiserv. “Disability inclusion is essential to building a high-performing organization, as all associates bring their unique perspectives and capabilities to the table.”

“There is no single best way to practice disability inclusion, however, the companies participating in the DEI share the desire to create a workplace that fosters the concept of bringing your whole self to the office,” said Maria Town, President and CEO of AAPD. “We look forward to working with all DEI participants to help identify meaningful ways to build upon their current practices as we continue on the disability inclusion journey together.”

The 2022 DEI measured: Culture & Leadership, Enterprise-Wide Access, Employment Practices, Community Engagement, Supplier Diversity and Non-U.S. Operations.
