At present, in Gulonggang Village, Daxing Town, Linshu County, Linyi City, Shandong Province, the peanut sorting facility of Linyi Heyuan Agricultural Technology Company is bustling with activity. Fully automated processing equipment runs at high speed, with the constant hum of machinery filling the air. Dozens of workers are busy at their respective stations in an orderly manner. From inspection, pricing, and weighing to sorting, washing, roasting, and packaging, every step proceeds efficiently. Each plump peanut undergoes refined processing and is transformed into a high-quality export agricultural product.

This vibrant processing workshop is the result of the entrepreneurial efforts of returning talent Bao Mingming. Several years ago, recognizing the region’s natural advantages in peanut cultivation, he returned to his hometown with capital and technology. By leasing collectively owned village land and revitalizing idle assets, he established this standardized peanut sorting facility. “Our hometown peanuts are of excellent quality, but what we lacked was deep processing and strong sales channels. I want to help turn this ‘golden bean’ into a ‘money tree’ for the villagers,” Bao said.

Since its establishment, the factory has consistently upheld strict quality standards. Leveraging the area’s fertile soil and favorable ecological conditions, it has developed the entire peanut industry chain, maintaining rigorous quality control from field cultivation to factory processing. With reliable product quality, stable supply capacity, and a strong market reputation, the company has successfully entered international markets. Its products are exported to Russia, the European Union, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and other regions, with annual processed peanut exports exceeding 3,000 tons. Notably, it has achieved eight consecutive years of zero detection of aflatoxin B1 in peanuts exported to the EU, earning high recognition in overseas markets.

Thanks to its solid industrial foundation and outstanding development performance, the factory has been recognized as a “Municipal Key Leading Enterprise in Agricultural Industrialization” and has been authorized to use the geographical indication for agricultural products “Linshu Peanuts.” In May 2025, the company’s 700-mu peanut cultivation base—known for its large grains, plump texture, and naturally sweet flavor—successfully passed the certification of the China Green Food Development Center. It was recognized as a Grade A Green Food product and granted the right to use the green food label, further enhancing the brand image of the local peanut industry.

From fields to factories, and from local markets to the global stage, these small peanuts have undergone a remarkable transformation. Today, the peanut industry has become a pillar industry driving prosperity in the village. It not only provides employment opportunities for many local and nearby residents but also encourages farmers to participate in cultivation, increasing their incomes and improving livelihoods. Step by step, it paints a new picture of rural revitalization—driven by returning talent, thriving industries, and shared prosperity.
