Betty Mutwiri has earned recognition as the Top Executive of the Year in Leadership Coaching by the esteemed International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Her accolade reflects exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and a profound commitment to her industry. Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself; only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. All Honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.
With over two decades of experience, Betty is a certified executive coach, LEADS Coach, and LEADS Global Coach. She has partnered with hundreds of leaders and leadership teams to help them navigate complex environments and enhance their well-being through her boutique firm, BM Leadership Coaching and Consulting Inc.
Betty's career background includes serving as the director of organizational learning and leadership at Saskatchewan Health Region, where she spearheaded the implementation of the Saskatchewan Leadership Program. Her advocacy for coaching and cultivating coaching cultures earned her team the prestigious 2016 Prism Award from the International Coach Federation. She continues to ignite this passion in other coaches, leaders, and mentors. As an Associate Faculty at Royal Roads University, she equips other coaches in the course "Creating Coaching Cultures" in the Masters of Arts in Executive and Organizational Coaching program (MAEOC).
Fueled by the belief that leadership coaching is a key catalyst for societal change, Betty developed the 3A Coach Approach to Leading and Mentoring, which has been used at scale by organizations to equip leaders, managers, and mentors with a transformative conversational model and a way of being that generates wisdom and agility in a rapidly evolving diverse world. Her passion for making a difference finds expression through several organizations including but not limited to Women In Leadership Foundation (WIL), World Diversity in Leadership, Sisterhood Ministries and as the Lead Author of the collaborative book project, “Courage, Change and Faith: Inspiring Narratives of Black Women Leaders.”
Throughout her illustrious career, Betty has garnered numerous awards for her impactful leadership. She is currently a contender for the Empowered Woman Award and a featured professional in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine. Her selection as the Top Executive of the Year in Leadership Coaching will be celebrated at IAOTP's annual awards gala at the NYC Plaza Hotel in December.

Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys traveling and cherishing moments with her family. Looking ahead, Betty aims to continue inspiring, influencing, and equipping leaders around the world.
Betty is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and has been an active member of the International Coaching Federation since 2014. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Saskatchewan in the Department of Educational Administration. She holds a Master of Arts in Leadership degree from Royal Roads University and a Bachelor of Education degree from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya.
