Orb.co Might Have the Weirdest And the Best Travel Deal Ever
They give customers a 7-night resort stay with a $139 wall art order.

When Orb.co founder Aaron King created a wall art shop featuring beautiful nature photography, his mission was clear: Get nature's beauty into homes everywhere.

"We believe deeply in the power of nature's beauty," Aaron explains. "Have you noticed the peace and serenity you feel in the great outdoors? That's the feeling we want to put into homes. There's a palpable difference when you put something beautiful on your wall. Every human deserves that feeling in their life."

But not everyone's shopping for wall art. So the Orb.co team knew they'd need something special to get customers excited. Aaron explains further, "That was our 'Aha!' moment. We realized we could not only get nature onto people's walls but also give them a chance to put their feet in the sand, to feel the ocean breeze on their faces, or to watch the sun set over the horizon. It was a perfect fit."

They looked into using existing 3rd-party travel voucher programs, and for a time, they did. But all the 3rd party programs had issues they didn't want their customers to have to face: "For example," Aaron explains, "some of the programs would make customers pay the taxes & fees upfront before customers could even see the available resorts and dates—and you couldn't get your money back if you didn't like the options or if the voucher expired on you."

Aaron continues: "We wanted something that genuinely added value for every single customer. Not something that gave the illusion of value but in reality left many customers losing money." Plus, they wanted vouchers that never expired to ensure every customer gets their vacation, whether sooner or later. The only option, they realized, was to build their own in-house voucher program.

Knowing that most hotels and resorts don't run at full capacity for most of the year, Orb.co set up partnerships to fill otherwise empty rooms at resorts & hotels. Even if those extra guests stayed for free, the hotels would boost profits from other revenue-generating operations like the restaurant, bar, spa, or guests staying additional days. Orb.co calls it a "WIN-WIN-WIN for all."

And it seems to be working. Customers who've used their vouchers have been leaving rave reviews. And Orb.co's been awarded an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.

But the team at Orb.co doesn't want customers walking into this blindly: They want customers to understand what the offer covers and how it works. For example, while the offer does cover the resort stay, it doesn't cover airfare, food, or the resort taxes & fees. And since it's made possible by helping resorts fill rooms that would have sat empty, customers do need to be flexible when choosing their dates and destination. But there are never any mandatory timeshare presentations to attend. And Orb.co guarantees you'll save at least $500 to $1500, or they'll give you a brand new voucher.
