DALLAS - Nov. 6, 2026 - PRLog -- Unique Software Development, a Dallas software development company, has released a technical brief on a growing problem. AI agent tools are arriving fast, but the controls to run them safely are not keeping pace. The brief reviews three latest releases in 2026:
  1. OpenAI put its Agents API into public beta, giving developers a managed Codex harness for building and running cloud agents.
  2. Salesforce announced new Agentforce agents for sales, service, commerce, and workforce tasks.
  3. Google made Agent Development Kit for Kotlin 1.0 generally available, matching ADK 1.0 Core with multi-agent teamwork and resumable sessions.
Gravitee surveyed 750 senior tech leaders in April. Agent numbers had about doubled in four months, yet monitoring covered only about 52%. Just 9.5% of companies said they secured more than 81% of their agents.

VentureBeat Pulse Research surveyed 107 companies in June. 54% had a confirmed agent security incident or a near miss. Only 32% gave each agent its own scoped, managed identity.

Exabeam and Sapio Research surveyed 600 security and finance leaders. 48% named agents with too much, stolen, or unplanned access as their top threat. Only 28% pointed to outside attackers.

The brief says the gap comes from how the tools are built and sold, not from careless teams. Most vendors find it difficult to grasp your permission rules or which systems an agent must never touch. Tech experts recommend that each company must decide what AI agents can run alone, what they can reach, and which actions need approval. Agents inside customer portals and dashboards raise the same questions, so firms offering web application development services must plan for them early.

The brief names four areas that usually need extra work:
  • A separate, limited identity for each agent, not a shared account
  • Audit logs detailed enough to show what an agent did
  • Approval steps at set points in a workflow
  • Links between agents and existing business systems
Healthcare, finance, transportation, and government teams must also meet federal, state, and industry rules on access, data handling, and audit trails. A shipping company adding an agent to dispatch or fleet data must fit current systems, which is taken care of by a logistics software development company.

Shared accounts cause special trouble, since nobody can tell which agent did what. The brief also suggests a small proof of concept, because problems cost far less to fix early.

The brief is available on request. Unique Software Development offers custom software development Dallas businesses can count on, plus AI and machine learning. Its teams are in the United States and Pakistan.
