Seasoned beverage and CPG executive brings decades of leadership experience across finance, operations, strategy, and corporate transformation
City Brewing & Beverage (“City Brewing” or the “Company”), one of the largest co-manufacturers of beer, flavored malt, ready-to-drink, and non-alcoholic beverages in the United States, today announced the appointment of David Klein to its Board. A seasoned executive with decades of management experience in the beverage and consumer packaged goods industries, Klein brings deep expertise across finance, strategy, operations, and corporate transformation, and a strong record of driving impact across organizations.
Klein has held C-suite roles across the Fortune 500, including serving as Chief Executive Officer of Canopy Growth Corporation and spending 14 years in leadership positions at Constellation Brands, including as Chief Financial Officer. Over the course of his career, he has worked with leadership teams to identify opportunities to drive performance and growth. Klein’s appointment comes as City Brewing continues to build momentum across its business and diversify its customer base.
“David’s extensive industry knowledge and financial and operational expertise will be incredibly valuable to City Brewing,” said Ross Sannes, Chief Executive Officer of City Brewing. “With our national scale, strategically located plants, and production across beverage segments and formats in one network, City Brewing is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the evolution of the beverage industry that is currently underway. David understands the dynamics shaping our industry and what it takes to build and operate a business at scale, and his perspective will help us as we continue raising the bar for our customers.”
“I am pleased to join City Brewing’s Board and work alongside the leadership team at an exciting time for the Company and the beverage industry,” said Klein. “The beverage landscape continues to evolve rapidly, and with City Brewing’s impressive platform and strong customer relationships, the Company is well-positioned to build upon its scale and capabilities to help brands respond to change. I am looking forward to working with the team to build on the Company’s strong foundation and continue delivering for its customers.”
In connection with Klein’s appointment, George Parke has transitioned to become a senior advisor to the Board. Parke, who served as CEO of City Brewing from 2007 to 2021, has played an important role in the Company’s growth and evolution. City Brewing is grateful for his contributions and looks forward to his continued support in his new role.
