The Boston Globe Names CCC a Top Place to Work in Massachusetts for the Fifth Year in a Row

CCC (Copyright Clearance Center), a pioneer in voluntary collective licensing, has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the fifth year in a row as part of the 18th annual employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. CCC was ranked #13 in the Top Large Employers category.

According to The Boston Globe, Top Places to Work recognizes the most admired workplaces in the state, voted on by the people who know them best — their employees. The survey measures employee opinions about their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay, benefits, and engagement. The employers are placed into one of four groups: small, with 50 to 99 employees; medium, with 100 to 249 workers; large, with 250 to 999 staff members; and largest, with a workforce of 1,000 or more employees.

“When employees feel valued, they’re motivated to do their best, and that’s the ultimate win-win for everyone at the 175 organizations that made this year’s Top Places to Work list,” said Katie Johnston, the Globe’s Top Places to Work editor.

“CCC remains dedicated to our customers and our team members,” said Tracey Armstrong, President and CEO, CCC. “CCC’s sophisticated licenses, software, and knowledge engineering solutions continue to address market needs. CCC’s licenses recognize the essential role of quality content in achieving positive, reliable AI outcomes. Our team is committed to licensing the curated, trusted content that is published in authoritative works, as well as culturally rich works, and our team is aligned in their commitment to this mission.”

CCC has consistently earned accolades as an organization. The Women’s Edge and The Boston Globe recently named it a Top Women-led Business in Massachusetts, and CCC earned a spot on USA Today's Top Workplaces USA 2025 list for the fourth consecutive year. CCC also won several Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards in 2025 for leadership, work-life flexibility, innovation, and purpose & values.
