PHOENIX - Sept. 25, 2025 - PRLog -- The Arizona Technology Council today announced the formation of its AZTC Emerging Leaders Council (ELC), an 18-month leadership development program created to prepare the next generation of technology leaders with the skills, experiences and networks needed to accelerate Arizona's innovation economy.
"The future of Arizona's technology sector depends on the leaders we develop today," said Steven G. Zylstra, president and CEO of the Arizona Technology Council and SciTech Institute. "The AZTC Emerging Leaders Council will serve as an essential platform to mentor, connect and empower rising professionals who will carry forward our state's legacy of innovation, collaboration and growth."
Each year the AZTC ELC will provide opportunities for 10 to 15 early- to mid-career professionals to build leadership skills, expand networks and engage with Arizona's technology ecosystem. Through programming and mentorship, the Council aims to cultivate new leaders who can drive community impact and strengthen the state's competitiveness in the global innovation economy.
The AZTC ELC's goals include:
- Developing leadership skills and capabilities among emerging technology professionals.
- Creating networking opportunities with industry executives and peers.
- Fostering engagement in Council activities.
- Promoting collaboration across Arizona's diverse technology sectors.
- Supporting workforce development and future pipeline growth.
