Scott+Scott Attorneys at Law LLP (“Scott+Scott”), an international securities and consumer rights litigation firm, is investigating certain directors and officers of General Motors Company (“General Motors”) (NYSE: GM) for breaching their fiduciary duties to General Motors and its shareholders. If you are a General Motors shareholder, you may contact attorney Joe Pettigrew for additional information toll-free at 844-818-6982, or jpettigrew@scott-scott.com.

Scott+Scott is investigating whether members of General Motors’s board of directors or senior management failed to manage General Motors in an acceptable manner, in breach of their fiduciary duties, and whether General Motors and its shareholders have suffered damages as a result.

On October 5, 2023, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration held a public meeting on its determination that 52 million airbag inflators designed by ARC Automotive (“ARC”) should be recalled, due to a potentially fatal defect resulting from excess force during airbag deployment. General Motors is among the most exposed to this potential recall, with at least 20 million vehicles built with the ARC airbag inflator in question. At least one airbag explosion in a General Motors vehicle has resulted in death, with others in injuries.
