ROCK HILL, SC / ACCESSWIRE / July 22, 2022 /The International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA), was made between the 48 contiguous states and 10 Canadian provinces. Truck owners are required to file IFTA if their vehicle weighs 26,000 pounds or more, has three or more axles, and travels through two or more jurisdictions.
The data required to file IFTA includes the number of miles traveled and gallons of fuel purchased in each jurisdiction. IFTA must be filed quarterly with the vehicle's base jurisdiction so that the base jurisdiction can distribute the taxes to the states where fuel was purchased in.
It's officially time to begin filing IFTA for the second quarter of 2022 and TruckLogics offers an easy-to-use IFTA reporting solution. Truckers can simply sign up for the new "TruckLogics IFTA only option" to generate IFTA reports in just a few minutes. Truckers have an option to add fuel and mileage data manually, via Motive (formerly KeepTruckin), or by using an excel template provided by the TruckLogics system.
Based on the data provided, TruckLogics will generate IFTA reports in the format required by the base jurisdiction. This TruckLogics IFTA-only option comes as a pay-as-you-go model, where truckers can only pay for the reports they generate.
TruckLogics is also popularly known for providing the Trucking Management Solution that helps streamline trucking business operations.
