-- Puerto Rico’s cultural stage is entering a new chapter. Following the global spotlight brought by Bad Bunny’s residency earlier this year, the island is preparing to showcase another defining event: the Festival Color Caribe, which will celebrate its 5th anniversary on November 28, 29, and 30, 2025 at the Parque Agroturistico Ecologico y Recreativo “El Dorado” in Dorado.
In recent years, Puerto Rico has gained recognition as both a global music hub and a cultural destination. With international tours making stops on the island and local talent redefining genres, audiences are increasingly seeking events that connect entertainment with identity. Festival Color Caribe has steadily grown to meet that demand, welcoming over 100,000 visitors in its first five years and creating a space where art and music coexist as part of a larger cultural legacy.
A new era for Puerto Rico’s cultural calendar
For its 5th edition, Festival Color Caribe is presenting what organizers describe as its most ambitious program yet. The event will bring together an impressive list of performers, including Draco Rosa, Caramelos de Cianuro, and Vicente Garcia, along with more than 20 other acts spanning genres from rock and pop to reggae and alternative Caribbean sounds.
In addition to music, muralists from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic will collaborate to create permanent works within the park, establishing Puerto Rico’s first outdoor mural park. Artists Alexis Diaz, Bik Ismo, and David Zayas will join Angurria, Kilia Llano, and Willy Gomez in producing large-scale pieces that merge artistic vision with the natural landscape.
“Five years later, Color Caribe has become a space where music, art, and Caribbean culture come together on the same stage. This anniversary, we want to celebrate by giving our audience the very best, both through the performances and the murals,” said Jonathan Barrios, executive producer of the festival.
A long-term impact beyond entertainment
By creating a permanent artistic installation and attracting an international audience, Festival Color Caribe is positioning Puerto Rico as a year-round cultural destination. The timing of the event, just months after high-profile music residencies concluded, underscores the island’s ability to sustain momentum in its creative industries.
Organizers note that the festival’s mix of art, gastronomy, interactive spaces, and family-friendly areas has broadened its appeal. The integration of “pet friendly” zones further demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity.
Tickets are currently available through ticketera.com, starting at $25, with options for VIP access and three-day passes. Additional details can be found at somoscolorcaribe.com.
