Spirion Appoints New Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel

Chris Thomley Joins Company as CFO; Scott Giordano Promoted to General Counsel

ST. PETERSBURG, FL, May 04, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Spirion, a pioneer in data protection and compliance, today announced two new appointments to its executive leadership team, effective immediately. Chris Thomley recently joined Spirion as its new Chief Financial Officer. Scott Giordano has been promoted to General Counsel with responsibility for all legal affairs and functions.

Chris Thomley has more than two decades of experience in all aspects of financial management, including operations, business combinations, capital procurement, investor relations, investment banking, and private equity relationships. He has held various senior finance positions for public, and private equity-backed businesses across multiple industries, including enterprise software, healthcare, and consumer goods. Most recently, Thomley served as Partner at Canopy Capital Partners and CFO at Focal Point Data Risk, a company focused on IT risk management in cybersecurity and data privacy, where he was responsible for financial stewardship on behalf of two private equity investors. Earlier in his career, Thomley held positions as CFO of PawsPlus, which was sold to PETCO; Director of Treasury Services for AvMed Health Plans; and CFO of Keystone North America, where he led an IPO for $250 million and later sold the company to Service Corporation International (NYSE: SCI). He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting from the University of Florida.

Before being named General Counsel, Scott M. Giordano, Esq., held the role of Vice President and Senior Counsel, Privacy and Compliance at Spirion. An IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy and a Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP), Giordano has more than 20 years of legal, technology, and risk management consulting experience. He serves as Spirion's subject matter expert on multinational data protection and its intersection with technology, export compliance, internal investigations, information governance, and risk management.

Giordano is a member of the bar in Washington state, California, and the District of Columbia. He holds a master's degree in economic crime management from Utica College, a Juris Doctor and MBA from Santa Clara University, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach.
