About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

MKCCC ANNOUNCES CULINARY PARTNERS FOR 21ST ANNUAL "FEED ME FRESH: AN EDIBLE EVENING" FUNDRAISER

Celebrating Local Flavors and Community Spirit, Fundraiser Supports Equitable Access to High-Quality Child Care

MOUNT KISCO, NY, July 17, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mount Kisco Child Care Center (MKCCC), a nonprofit committed to providing equitable access to high-quality early education and care, is thrilled to announce this year's culinary partners for its Annual Feed Me Fresh: An Edible Evening. The event will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the beautiful Ivanna Farms in Mount Kisco.

Now in its 21st year, Feed Me Fresh continues to serve as the signature fundraising event for MKCCC, celebrating the Center's seed-to-table curriculum of the same name. Designed to educate children about nutrition, gardening, and cooking, the program integrates on-site gardening and hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and healthy habits from an early age.

"This special evening brings our unique curriculum to life through an unforgettable tasting event featuring fresh, local cuisine donated by some of our region's most beloved restaurants. It's also a celebration of community, childhood, and the generosity that makes our mission possible," says Dawn Meyerski, Executive Director of MKCCC. "We are deeply grateful to every restaurant and sponsor who supports this effort to ensure that all children have access to the care and education they deserve."

This year's participating restaurants include A & S Marketplace, Ben & Jerry's, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Kittle House Inn, Exit 4 Food Hall, Ladle of Love, Little Kebab Station, Lexington Square Café, Mentor's Mediterranean Steakhouse, Mimi's Coffee House, Monarca, and Village Social. In a special collaboration, Chef Tommy Calandrucci of Stone Fire and Chef Maarten Steenman of La Tulipe Desserts will once again team up to prepare a stunning three-course dinner during the evening's program.

The event would not be possible without the continued support of MKCCC's generous sponsors. Their contributions ensure that all proceeds benefit the Center's Scholarship Fund, which helps working families afford the high-quality care their children need to grow and thrive. This year's sponsors include 5C Capital Management, Atlantic Westchester, Whitney Hanson Ayala & Marc Ayala, Bedford & New Canaan Magazine, The Benefit Shop Foundation, Sakurako & Alain Biem, CBRE, Leslie Cecil & Creighton Michael, C Clean, The Sigmund Cohn Family Foundation, Amy & Jon Epstein, Eric Hadar, Robin & Matt Jacobs, Barbara Klein, Kohlberg & Company, Stuart & Denise Koslowsky, Landscape Concepts, Last Mile NYC, Dr. Joanne Marien, Elizabeth Marwell, The Marwell Family, Northern Westchester Moms, Anne & Pat Papaelias, Douglas Polaner Selections, Kelly & Michael Slomsky, Beverley & Sabin Streeter, and Keira & Tim Treanor.

This year's event honorees are Christie Noelle Krase, MKCCC Board Member, advocate and volunteer, and Mary Ann & Gary Rivera, owners of Landscape Concepts and longtime supporters of Feed Me Fresh. Their extraordinary generosity and dedication to the children of MKCCC will be recognized during the evening's celebration.
