About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Americans to Rally in Washington and Nationwide to Demand an End to the Influence of Money in Politics

Flagship rally on the National Mall anchors nationwide day of action as Americans in dozens of cities demand sweeping reforms to end the influence of money in politics

WASHINGTON, DC, July 25, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As part of a nationwide day of action to remove the corrupting influence of money in American politics, the Money Out of Politics Movement ("MOP") and its national partners will host a historic March for Integrity demonstration on Sunday, July 27, at 12:00 PM on the National Mall. Participants will gather near the Lincoln Memorial for a powerful rally featuring veterans, organizers, grassroots candidates, lawmakers, and everyday citizens demanding sweeping structural reform.

The Washington, D.C,. demonstration serves as the flagship event of a coordinated, non-partisan mobilization taking place in cities across the country. From Detroit to Fort Lauderdale to Carson City, communities are rising up in solidarity to demand a democracy free from corporate control and political corruption.

MOP, a veteran-led, non-partisan coalition, is calling for bold, structural changes to ensure that the United States government is accountable to the people, not corporate donors, lobbyists, billionaires, or special interests. Specifically, the movement demands:
- A ban on lobbyist gifts to members of Congress
- A ban on congressional stock trading
- Abolition of Super PACs and dark money channels
- A constitutional amendment to restore democratic integrity and permanently limit the influence of money in politics

MOP has partnered with leading advocacy organizations, grassroots movements, and think tanks across the country to advance these reforms. The movement also supports and demands the passage of two key pieces of federal legislation introduced in the current Congress, the We the People Amendment (H.J.Res. 54) and the Abolish Super PACs Act (H.R. 2352).

"We're done asking politely for accountability. This system has been hijacked by special interests, and every delay in reform is another betrayal of the American people. On July 27, we show up in force—not to make a statement, but to make it impossible for Congress to continue ignoring us," said Bobi Haley, executive director of MOP.

MOP asserts that this is not just another protest—it is a final warning. According to a Pew Research Center survey, 77% percent of Americans across party lines support reforms to limit the influence of money in politics, yet lawmakers continue to ignore the overwhelming majority of their constituents' voices for personal gain. The March for Integrity is a stark ultimatum: either pass reform, or face escalating pressure. MOP is preparing for sustained mass mobilization, including a nationwide general strike, if Congress fails to act. "We will cripple the economy, disrupt business as usual, and uproot every sense of comfort, normalcy, and control our lawmakers have come to rely on," Haley continued.

With rising costs, corporate profiteering, and political gridlock harming American families, MOP argues that corruption fueled by unchecked political spending lies at the heart of national dysfunction. The movement invites people from all political backgrounds to stand united in demanding structural change.

Media are encouraged to attend. Interviews with organizers and local leaders will be available on-site.
