About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

OOVIE STUDIOS AND MASSIVE STUDIOS PRESENTS DURING THE 82ND VENICE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

THE WORLD PREMIERE OF LIVE MUSIC. LIVING FILMS. AN INTERACTIVE AI MOVIE BROUGHT TO LIFE BY THE EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE OF MAXIM VENGEROV, ONE OF THE WORLD'S LEADING LIVING VIOLINISTS, & LAFIL MILAN PHILHARMONIC CONDUCTED BY MARCO SECO IN SEPTEMBER

LOS ANGELES, CA, August 06, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- LIVE MUSIC. LIVING FILMS., the new project that merges music, cinema, and artificial intelligence, will make its international debut on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in the stunning setting of the 17th-century Teatro Malibran in Venice, during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival.

Every great musical composition holds a vision, an imaginary world expressed by composers and musicians through music. OOVIE Studios, together with MASSIVE STUDIOS, brings this to light with an Interactive AI Movie born from musical interpretation and brought to life in real time, evolving with every live performance. OOVIE Studios' approach draws inspiration from Disney's animated film Fantasia, whose iconic tagline "Music to see, images to hear" poetically captures the essence of this experience.

LIVE MUSIC. LIVING FILMS. are concerts meant to be experienced through both hearing and sight. The performance will feature Maxim Vengerov, one of the most acclaimed violinists in the world, together with LaFil Milan Philharmonic conducted by Marco Seco. They will perform Tzigane by M. Ravel and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. During this exceptional concert, the audience will witness for the first time a groundbreaking performance: an interactive AI movie created by OOVIE Studios in collaboration with Dustin Hollywood and Reza Sixo Safai, regarded as two of the most innovative AI artists on the global scene.

This Venice premiere is the first stop of a tour continuing on September 7, 2025, at the Trieste Festival (Generali Convention Center) and October 7–8, 2025, at Piccolo Teatro Strehler in Milan.

"The creative use of Artificial Intelligence in cinema and other art forms is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating, and still controversial, challenges of our time," said Alberto Barbera, Director of the Venice Film Festival. "That's why I was immediately intrigued and fascinated by the proposal that places OOVIE Studios and LaFil at the heart of an innovative project that unites cinema and music in not only unprecedented ways but also with great interest and immense potential. I'm truly curious to attend the international premiere of this concert, which fittingly takes place in Venice during the Venice International Film Festival."

OOVIE Studios is a startup founded by musicians and entrepreneurs Riccardo Acciarino, Marco Seco, Lorenzo Ramon, Giulio Casagrande, and Ignacio Palladino, with the goal of innovating how we experience music, extending also to entertainment and brand experience sectors. This project, created in collaboration with MASSIVE Studios, redefines the relationship between music and image, blending live musical interpretation with AI-generated video production, a live performance that fuses art and technology. Creativity and inspiration stem from the humanity of the artists, while AI becomes a tool at their service, amplifying the concert experience. The result is an AI movie that follows the music, interacts with it, and generates ever-evolving narrative paths.

"It's alive!" says Riccardo Acciarino, CEO of OOVIE Studios and internationally acclaimed musician. "A movie that changes with every show, just like the music it stems from, is a film that lives. Technology and art together create powerful cultural and economic outcomes. In an increasingly virtual world, live performance and the uniqueness of the moment regain immeasurable value."

"For music to stay alive, it must listen to the present and engage with it. With OOVIE Studios and LaFil, we explore new expressive possibilities, where technology becomes a tool - not an end - a companion, not a substitute. Being part of this transformation is not only a responsibility but also an extraordinary creative journey. This is a new era in which art evolves without losing its soul." - Marco Seco, conductor of LaFil and COO of OOVIE Studios.

Interactive AI movies adapt in real time to live music performances and audience interaction. They're relevant not only for classical concerts but for performances of all genres. In a world driven by speed and increasingly generic, massified content, OOVIE Studios sees art as one of the few, if not the only, languages capable of forging authentic connections. The company offers unique, personalized experiences.

He is currently CEO of OOVIE Studios and SABRE GmbH, a company specialized in audiovisual sensors.

MARCO SECO
For Marco, "making music" is a holistic experience, extending beyond the conductor's podium. In addition to his role as conductor, he serves as Artistic Director of both the Trieste Concert Society and LaFil Milan Philharmonic Foundation. He leads educational and outreach initiatives to bring classical music closer to younger and broader audiences. A passionate interpreter of early 19th and 20th-century repertoire, his engagements include European tours in venues such as Leipzig's Gewandhaus, Hamburg's Musikhalle, Stuttgart's Liederhalle, Bremen's Die Glocke, Copenhagen's Royal Opera House, and Zurich's Tonhalle Maag. In the U.S., he's performed at Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston. In 2024, Safai became one of the first filmmakers in history to premiere an AI-generated film at a major festival, debuting a groundbreaking project using OpenAI's Sora at Tribeca.
