Audiences respond to handcrafted AI artwork and writing

HALIFAX, NS, June 16, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The bestselling Monster Girl Evolution series, which achieved more than 3 million views on DeviantArt and Royal Road in its online run, and debuted its first book on Amazon as a #1 New Release, hitting #1 sales rank on both the Light Novel category and the GameLit & LitRPG category, published its final entry on June 11th: Monster Girl Evolution: Tournament of the Smart by Brian Heming.

"A lot of AI-generated books are just people copying and pasting the output of ChatGPT. My approach is very different," says author Brian Heming. "I use only local models running on my laptop, and carefully tune to get the style I envision. I combine language models with traditional writing, plotting, and editing for my writing, and combine data pipelines and image models with traditional digital painting techniques for my illustrations.

"When AI is used in combination with human ability to achieve and enhance one's artistic vision, audiences show up and take notice."

The book series draws on anime and video games, using AI writing and AI illustrations to tell the story of Amy and her friends as they level up and increase their powers via fighting enemies and completing quests. The final book, Tournament of the Smart, follows them as they progress through a futuristic fighting tournament to determine the fate of the world.

Purchase the series in eBook, paperback, or audiobook form, on Amazon or Audible.
