About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Halberd Corporation (OTC:HALB)

Halberd Corporation is listed on the OTC Markets and is fully compliant with all the requirements of the exchange. In April 2020 the company had been restructured and since then it has gone from strength to strength. It managed to pick up exclusive global rights for three issued patents. Additionally, the company also filed a total of 22 related provisional PCT, which are regarded as utility patent applications.

The company decided to make such a move since it believes that the acquisition of such patents would not only unlock more value for its shareholders but also attract the interest of development partners. In recent times, Halberd has accomplished considerable successes in its research activities and that is another important aspect of the company at this point.

Houston Natural Resources Corp (OTC:HNRC)

Houston Natural Resources is an energy company, which is mainly involved in the oil and gas sector. It is essentially a diversified company and also holds interests in wastewater treatment facilities. The company owns the Halff Oil Field in Crockett County in Texas and that is one of the most important assets of the company at this point.

The oil field boasts as many as 83 oil wells, with an estimated 33 million barrels of oil. Additionally, the appraised value of the oil reserves at the oil field is $69 million. Not too long ago Houston Natural Resources Corp had completed the acquisition of a 9.9% interest in the company Cunningham Energy LLC and the firm had an appraised reserves valued at $352 million.

Marketing Worldwide Corporation (OTC:MWWC)

Marketing Worldwide Corporation recently pivoted and turned into a media and entertainment company. The company is looking to make its place in a space that is currently highly competitive. Recently, the company hired the services of the media pioneer Robert Blagman to head its efforts in the media space.

The success of a new operation is quite dependent on the abilities of the leader and in that sense, Blagman is a highly competent executive. He holds a decade's worth of experience in the media industry and is highly experienced in such niche media spaces as management, network sales, and communication.

Defense Technologies International (OTC:DTII)

The company is involved in the fast-growing security technology space and is best known for its Passive Scanning Technology, for which it has a patent.

The company also offers the 'passive portal', which is a passive, walk-through, non-invasive high-tech body scanner that has the capability of detecting any change in the earth's magnetic field brought about by the presence of weapons. It is specifically meant for weapons like knives and guns, which can be concealed by a person. The passive portal does not produce any radiation at all and does not pose any health risks to human beings.

PlantX Life (OTC:PLTXF) (CSE:VEGA)

The company is best known for operating one of the biggest online marketplaces for plant-based food products. The company also expanded its product offerings considerably and took it to more than 5000 items. PlantX also operates its own brand portfolio, including Little West Juices, Portfolio Coffee, Bloombox Club, and XMarket. PlantX uses its digital platform to build a community of like-minded consumers and, most importantly, to provide education and accessibility to the plant-based lifestyle.
