About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

FCF Pay to Enable Crypto Payments for Over 20k US Corporations

FCF Pay, widely believed to be the world’s fastest growing crypto payments company, has announced a groundbreaking addition to its already impressive suite of crypto payment solutions.

First came their flagship crypto payment gateway, next their hugely popular prepaid crypto cards and now the dynamic startup is prepped to enable US-based crypto holders to pay for a mind-boggling selection of bills, services and purchases.

The CEO of FCF Pay, John Nasr, has already given a few sneak peeks of the companies that users will be able to pay with their crypto including no less than:

- Mercedes Benz

- Bank of America

- American Express

- BMW

- American Airlines

and a series of local utility providers

In total, it will be possible to pay around 20,800 corporations in crypto via the FCF Pay system. This includes But how is this even possible?

The FCF team has been working tirelessly since the launch of their software in February 2022 to integrate themselves into the payments industry; both in terms of technical integrations via their white label offering and networking via events such as crypto and payments conventions around the globe. It is via this network of contacts that they have been able to close a series of strategic partnerships.

In this case, FCF Pay has teamed up with an established payments aggregator. Essentially, this partner has integrated with the payments systems of this extensive list of corporations and even public administrations in order to facilitate various payments options for their network. By merging the two systems and some “background magic”, paying your bills would be as easy as providing information, transferring the corresponding amount of cryptocurrency (FCF Pay processes all the major blockchains) and everything else is taken care of by FCF’s proprietary systems.

On top of this US pilot of their bill payment system, FCF has already hinted at expanding the service to additional regions as well as additional payments services in the near future. According to COO Joe Parkin, FCF “won’t rest until it’s possible to pay for absolutely anything with your crypto”.

But it doesn’t stop there! FCF is currently developing a mobile app - the name of which is yet to be revealed - that will bring all of their systems together in an easy-to-use package that promises to take the payments industry by storm. According to the information that has been made public so far, the app will bring together all of the products and services developed so far by the crypto payments company in a way that will challenge not only crypto wallet apps, but also the likes of PayPal, CashApp, Venmo and even banking apps.

FCF Pay and the dedicated army of $FCF utility token holders (FCF systems include a unique rewards system for holders of the token) are not showing any signs of slowing down. Could the age of crypto payments finally be here?
