About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

UDPOWER Drops a Compact All-in-One Power Station with an Integrated Jump Starter

UDPOWER Drops a Compact All-in-One Power Station with an Integrated Jump Starter

UDPOWER introduces a new Portable Power Station that integrates an All-in-One design concept for tech enthusiasts and professionals. The compact size with a 256Wh battery combines portability and power efficiency to deliver up to 800W AC output for appliances and electronics.

Key Features:

• Dimensions and Weight: 8.27” x 5.12” x 7.09”; weights only 6.61 lbs.

• The C500 delivers up to 800 watts of AC output and 118 watts of DC output. It also comes with 2 Type-C fast charging ports with PD and all-protocol, USB-A port with QC3.0, car charging port and a DC 5521 port, so it's set up to run almost any everyday appliance.

• Integrated Jump Starter: When a vehicle's 12V battery is damaged by a loss of charge, the C500's built-in jump starter makes it easy to start a 12V vehicle in less than a second.

• Materials and Safety: The UDPOWER uses only new Grade A LFP batteries to ensure durability and safety. Equipped with an AI-grade intelligent battery management system, the C500 monitors the safety status of the device 50 times per second. The 94v-0 rated PC material casing and durable structural design make the C500 rock solid, not afraid of burns, bumps and drops.

• The C500 supports Type C reverse charging, which means that users can charge the C500 directly through the Type C port, while the maximum charging rate is up to 165w, C500 can fully charged in 1.5-2 hours.

In addition, this product supports solar charging and has a built-in mppt (maximum power tracking system), with the option of pairing it with ultra-mini portable solar panel.

"This product reflects our commitment to innovation, providing a compact and versatile solution for our tech-savvy customers," said Lam, CMO at UDPOWER
