"I began this psychological thriller novel at New Bedford High School in my Creative Writing class," Hendrix recalls. Her creative writing teacher, Mr. Sykes, was one of the few who believed in her dual passions. “I know you want to be a pro wrestler, but don’t forget about this,” he told her, encouraging her to explore her writing talent further. That encouragement stuck with her, even as she continued her path in the wrestling world.

Throughout her time wrestling for TNA, Ring of Honor (ROH), and WWE, Hendrix would bring her high school writing assignments to every event. "As a way to redirect my energy from the stress of it all, I’d take a pen and work on those pieces," she explains. Wrestling may have been her primary focus, but storytelling was always in the background, weaving itself into her life both inside and outside the ring.

Over time, these writing exercises evolved into more than just a creative outlet. They became the foundation for her first four children’s books—and, ultimately, for Behind These Whispering Walls. The novel is a product of years of passion, creativity, and personal experience, blending elements of her own life with the eerie, psychological world she crafted on paper. "To say Behind These Whispering Walls was a labor of love wouldn't quite do it justice. It was built from angst, struggle, and the experiences that have shaped me in my career."

Set in an ominous, long-abandoned house, Behind These Whispering Walls follows the journey of a young girl whose life unravels after the tragic death of her brother.
