About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Master Sunny Woo Park: Transforming Taekwondo One Event at a Time

Co-founder of Master Parks Black Belt America and President of Kombat Taekwondo USA, Sunny Woo Park is reshaping the Taekwondo community. Widely recognized as a thought leader in the world of martial arts, Sunny has built an impressive legacy of over 3,000 students and 10 locations across the tri-state area. Today, he continues to set new standards in the sport, thanks in part to the visionary partnership with RESPECT TOKEN.

Overcoming Adversity to Build a Legacy

Born into a family that immigrated from South Korea, Sunny learned early the value of perseverance while helping his father establish their first martial arts studio in 1989. Despite the language barrier and cultural differences, his father pursued the American Dream, with Sunny quickly joining in. By the age of 10, Sunny was managing a studio in Oradell, New Jersey, skillfully balancing classes, enrollments, and training sessions.

However, in 1998, the family faced a significant setback when bad investments led to bankruptcy. They lost their home and business, and Sunny’s father returned to South Korea. His mother worked multiple jobs to support the family, and Sunny had to adapt quickly to this new reality. Yet, he remained optimistic. “When you hit rock bottom, you only have one place to go, and that's up,” Sunny reflects. With hard work and determination, he, along with his wife and brother, rebranded the family business in 2004, laying the foundation for what would become a martial arts empire.

Transforming Taekwondo with Kombat Taekwondo USA

Kombat Taekwondo USA represents his commitment to uniting the Taekwondo community and creating professional pathways for fighters. His overarching vision? To empower individuals through martial arts, instilling confidence, discipline, and resilience. "Creating amazing human beings who are strong, smart, and tough is my ultimate goal," he asserts. Now with the support of RESPECT TOKEN, Sunny is championing a new era in martial arts that emphasizes respect, integrity, and unity. Since opening, Kombat Taekwondo has made a global impact, reaching over 110 countries and establishing 1,000 clubs worldwide. Through strategic events and partnerships, Sunny aims to cultivate athletes who can achieve international stardom, akin to sports icons like LeBron James and Serena Williams.

The partnership with RESPECT TOKEN drastically supports this mission. Together, they are enhancing the martial arts landscape by fostering a supportive community. "By aligning with RESPECT TOKEN, we're securing a better future for martial artists everywhere," Sunny says. The collaboration is all about bringing transparency, support, and opportunities into martial arts. In addition, aims to unite various Taekwondo clans to create a cohesive ecosystem where athletes can excel.

Looking Forward to a Unified Future

Looking ahead, Sunny is committed to expanding his influence and enhancing Taekwondo's profile globally. With aspirations to establish 50 locations across the nation by the age of 50, Sunny is setting the stage for a broader reach and greater impact. His vision includes uniting the Taekwondo community under a cohesive banner and launching professional circuits that elevate martial artists to celebrity status.

Through Kombat Taekwondo's international events, Sunny is creating a platform for athletes to compete professionally, with plans to host a landmark event in the USA by 2025. Upcoming events in countries like Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina featuring elite national and Olympic-level athletes are part of this strategy.
