About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

The Unofficial Opener Of NYC’s Hispanic Heritage Month 2025

The Unofficial Opener Of NYC's Hispanic Heritage Month 2025
LATIN FOOD FEST NYC RETURNS TO INDUSTRY CITY WITH “WE FEED AMERICA” — A FIVE-ZONE CULTURAL TRIUMPH CELEBRATING HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
On September 13–14, Latin Food Fest NYC takes over Industry City with a cultural earthquake, featuring five immersive zones of food, music, art, and community that represent the beating heart of Hispanic Heritage Month. More than 10,000 attendees will experience a festival that is both a celebration and a statement: Latin culture doesn’t fade, it multiplies.

NEW YORK, NY - August 26, 2025 - Forced out of its original home, many counted it out. But the original Latin Food & Culture Fest has roared back — bigger, louder, and stronger than ever — reclaiming its place as the epicenter of Latin food, music, and culture in New York City.

On September 13–14, Latin Food Fest NYC takes over Industry City with a cultural earthquake, featuring five immersive zones of food, music, art, and community that represent the beating heart of Hispanic Heritage Month. More than 20,000 attendees will experience a festival that is both a celebration and a statement: Latin culture doesn’t fade, it multiplies.

At the center of the festival’s mission is We Feed America, a bold campaign launched in partnership with the Street Eats Foundation to honor the immigrant small business owners who power America’s kitchens and communities. Exclusive “We Feed America” t-shirts drop August 28, with 100% of proceeds fueling grants and incubator programs for micro-businesses in hospitality.

This year’s highlights include:

  1. The Market: 70+ Latin food vendors curated into NYC’s most dynamic street food experience.

  2. The Stages: A stacked lineup including Bataya performances via Red Bull, live bands, DJs, and a Bad Bunny look-alike showdown that will stop traffic.

  3. The Zones: Verizon’s soccer kicks lounge, Jack Daniels’ Blackberry VIP room, interactive cultural activations, games, art installations, and community spaces.

  4. The Power: Leaders, artists, chefs, and sponsors uniting under one flag to create something bigger than the sum of its parts.

“This isn’t a comeback. This is a victory lap for our community,” said Marco Shalma, founder of MASC Hospitality Group. “Latin Food Fest is proof of what happens when immigrant hands, cultural pride, and community power come together. We don’t fold. We build.”

And this is only the beginning. With New York as its anchor, Latin Food Fest will launch in five additional cities in 2026 — taking its mix of food, music, and cultural firepower to Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta.

Latin Food Fest NYC is more than a festival. It’s a declaration. It’s a triumph. It’s the future.
