About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy Announces Launch of Writing Curriculum

MYRTLE, MO / ACCESSWIRE / November 18, 2021 / Master's Ranch Christian Academy (MRCA), a residential care facility for adolescent young men and women domiciled in Couch, MO, is proud to announce the launch of a comprehensive writing curriculum.

Master's Ranch provides excellent educational opportunities for students on-site with a nationally accredited curriculum through MRA and Acellus Academy, used by thousands of schools across the nation.

MRCA has partnered with Thought Pros, LLC, and its founder, Steve Bonenberger, to introduce The Writer's Covenant as a core curriculum to all three campuses. Steve Bonenberger is a pastor, speaker, biblical and excellence instructor, essayist, novelist, and storyteller with more than 25 years of experience.

The Writer's Covenant

The Writer's Covenant is a definitive work on ‘how to build a compelling, creative piece.' It is a requirement for all writers and creatives to know, master, and refer back to for both inspiration and guidance. It contains 21 lessons analyzing the mechanics of writing, from plot to phrasing, and teaching the art of storytelling, scene by scene.

The Writer's Covenant curriculum includes:

  • Reference Guide-provides a wide range of discussion topics for writers to return to when in need of inspiration and guidance
  • How-to Manual-supplies a step-by-step model for how to advance a creative work
  • Character Development-includes a careful and analytic discussion of how characters can be formed and mashed up
  • Conflict-dives deep into the impacts and progression of conflict and how to inch or race these along
  • Evil-plumbs the depths of evil and provides a template for how to rightly capture and properly present and wield this force
  • Goodness-shows the expanse of goodness and the "Beyond Further" power and empowerment that goodness imparts to transform the drag of evil
  • Defining Work-provides the writer the capacity to build proper retentive definition for their work

Steve Bonenberger, Managing Director of Thought Pros, LLC-an award-winning, best-selling author of five novels, including the Through Gates of Fire series and The Genius Path, a groundbreaking work on human development-said:

"Working with Master's Ranch is the greatest joy and highest honor of my entire career. To see these young men and women engage with the material and learn to write their own stories is an exhilarating moment for all of us."

Dr. Ken Tombley, Interim Executive Director of MRCA added,

"Adding Steve Bonenberger and The Writer's Covenant as core curriculum is an exciting addition for our student populations. We know that helping our students learn the craft of writing and composition at high levels of performance will help them in their future career paths."
