About Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Our mission: Bringing practical business and technical intelligence to today's structured cabling professionals

For more than 30 years, Cabling Installation & Maintenance has provided useful, practical information to professionals responsible for the specification, design, installation and management of structured cabling systems serving enterprise, data center and other environments. These professionals are challenged to stay informed of constantly evolving standards, system-design and installation approaches, product and system capabilities, technologies, as well as applications that rely on high-performance structured cabling systems. Our editors synthesize these complex issues into multiple information products. This portfolio of information products provides concrete detail that improves the efficiency of day-to-day operations, and equips cabling professionals with the perspective that enables strategic planning for networks’ optimum long-term performance.

Throughout our annual magazine, weekly email newsletters and 24/7/365 website, Cabling Installation & Maintenance digs into the essential topics our audience focuses on.

  • Design, Installation and Testing: We explain the bottom-up design of cabling systems, from case histories of actual projects to solutions for specific problems or aspects of the design process. We also look at specific installations using a case-history approach to highlight challenging problems, solutions and unique features. Additionally, we examine evolving test-and-measurement technologies and techniques designed to address the standards-governed and practical-use performance requirements of cabling systems.
  • Technology: We evaluate product innovations and technology trends as they impact a particular product class through interviews with manufacturers, installers and users, as well as contributed articles from subject-matter experts.
  • Data Center: Cabling Installation & Maintenance takes an in-depth look at design and installation workmanship issues as well as the unique technology being deployed specifically for data centers.
  • Physical Security: Focusing on the areas in which security and IT—and the infrastructure for both—interlock and overlap, we pay specific attention to Internet Protocol’s influence over the development of security applications.
  • Standards: Tracking the activities of North American and international standards-making organizations, we provide updates on specifications that are in-progress, looking forward to how they will affect cabling-system design and installation. We also produce articles explaining the practical aspects of designing and installing cabling systems in accordance with the specifications of established standards.

ACAwise, A Comprehensive ACA Reporting Vendor, Is Now Accepting New Clients

ROCK HILL, SC / ACCESSWIRE / September 20, 2021 / While it may seem that your organization just wrapped up its ACA Reporting for the 2020 tax year, it is actually time to start thinking about the upcoming reporting for 2021.

All Applicable Large Employers (ALE), Third-Party Administrators (TPA), Professional Employer Organizations (PEO), and Human Capital Management (HCM) providers are all required to submit ACA Forms 1094-B/C and 1095-B/C to the IRS and distribute copies to employees in order to meet their annual reporting requirements.

ACAwise is now accepting new clients for their all-encompassing ACA reporting solution. With the following features, ACAwise eliminates the stress of ACA reporting requirements.

ACA Code Generation

On Form 1095-C, employers must use a complex series of codes to indicate the status of the employees' health insurance coverage throughout the year. As the ACA Forms are usually updated each year, this series has expanded to include two new codes that are directly applicable to Individual Coverages HRAs. ACAwise eliminates the stress of dealing with these codes by generating them based on the information our clients provide.

1094/1095 Form Generation and Approval

The next step in this end-to-end process is the generation of Forms 1094 and 1095. Once the forms are generated, clients can easily review and approve them through our secure portal. At this point, clients can provide any revisions or updates before IRS transmission.

IRS, State E-filing, and Recipient Copy Distribution

Once all forms are reviewed and approved for their accuracy and all data validations are performed, the forms will be transmitted to the IRS and applicable state agencies. ACAwise assists with any necessary corrections and even offers past year filing to new clients who failed to meet their requirements in the past. Additionally, ACAwise offers both online access and postal mailing options for distributing recipient copies.

Depending on the filing needs of your organization, clients may choose from our two reporting services:

ACA Core

This option allows clients that are comfortable generating their 1095-C codes a comprehensive ACA filing solution. This includes form generation, TIN Matching, IRS e-filing, state filing obligations, and employee copy distribution.

ACA Elite

This is the most comprehensive service available, in addition to the benefits of the Core services, ACAwise assists with every aspect of the reporting process. After employers provide their employee data, including census information and health benefits, ACAwise validates the data and generates all of the codes required on Form 1095.

When asked about the benefits of choosing ACAwise, CEO and Co-founder Agie Sundaram, stated, "ACAwise offers a great solution to the stressful ACA reporting process, despite the size of your organization and your comfort level with ACA reporting, ACAwise can guarantee your compliance."
